MULLED WINE 
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 dozen whole cloves
3 crushed nutmeg
4 c. hot lemon juice
1 1/4 c. water
6 sticks cinnamon
Peel of 3 lemons & 2 oranges
1 gallon Burgundy, Madeira or Port

Make a syrup from sugar, water, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and peels. Boil for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice. Heat well but do not boil. Add red wine. Serve with slices of lemon and pineapple. Serves 30.
