OLD FASHIONED DUMPLINGS 
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tsp. baking powder
6 level tsp. shortening
Milk to make soft dough

Mix flour, salt and baking powder, cut in shortening and add milk to make soft dough (just enough to roll out and cut in squares). Drop into hot boiling broth. Boil with lid off until tender. For a fluffier dumpling, boil with lid on.
