APPLE PIE
2 pie pastry (one for bottom & one for top)
Apples (enough to fill pie pan with a heaping portion of slices)
Apple pie spice
1/4-1/2 c. butter
Sugar

Prepare pie crust using favorite recipe. Cut, peel, core and slice apples. Place slices in pastry shell. Place butter chunk around on surface of apple slice pile. Generously sprinkle sugar and apple pie spice on top. Cover with top crust and crimp edges. Make a few holes in top crust.

Bake at 350 degrees until apples are soft and crust is golden brown. Serve hot or cold with ice cream, whip cream, or by itself. Sprinkle top crust with spice and/or sugar if desired before baking for added flavor.
