CRUNCHY OAT TOPPING MIX | |
4 c. quick or any uncooked oatmeal 1 c. brown sugar (or white if you don't have brown) 2/3 c. melted butter Mix all together until crumbly. Place in baking pan loosely. Toast in 350 degree F. oven about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool, then toss lightly with fork; store in covered dish in refrigerator. This can be doubled and kept handy for use on coffee cakes, plain cakes, ice cream, puddings, etc. Somewhat takes the place of nuts. |
