SAUCY LIVER AND ONIONS 
1 lb. sliced beef liver
2 tbsp. shortening
1 env. onion soup mix
1 can tomato sauce
1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. water

Dip liver slices in flour. Heat shortening in large skillet and brown on both sides. Remove from skillet, stir tomato sauce in drippings and add soup mix and water. Cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Return liver to skillet and heat through.
