1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
Peaches
1/2 c. sugar to top peaches

Mix first 4 ingredients to make a batter. Melt butter in an 8 inch square pan. Pour in batter. Top with sliced fresh peaches and sprinkle with the 1/2 cup sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 30 minutes.

It is a good idea to test center of cobbler for doneness.
