24 HOUR CABBAGE 
1/2 c. oil
3/4 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
1 head cabbage
1 diced green pepper
1 diced med. onion
1 shredded carrot
1 tsp. celery seed or celery salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Bring oil, vinegar, celery seed, garlic powder, and sugar to boil, then cool. Pour over all the vegetables, cover and let stand 24 hours. Keeps a week or longer.
