EASY CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS | |
1 (5 to 7 lb.) chicken salt and pepper to taste 1 pkg. large flour tortillas Place chicken in a large pot and cover with water. Cook until chicken is tender or until fork can be inserted with ease, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Remove chicken from broth. When cool enough to handle, cut into pieces of desired size or leave whole. Cut tortillas into squares. Drop one at a time into boiling broth seasoned to taste with salt and pepper. As tortillas go under the broth, add more until all are in pot. Simmer 5 minutes. Do not stir. TASTY AND EASY!!!!! |
