ROMIE'S SPOON CORN BREAD | |
1 c. corn meal 3 c. milk 3 eggs, well beaten 1 tsp. salt 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. butter Stir meal into 2 cups milk, let come to a boil, stirring constantly, making a mush. Then add balance of milk, well beaten eggs, salt, baking powder and melted butter. Turn at once into a well greased baking pan. Bake in 400 degree oven about 35 minutes or until done. I enjoy this bread served warm with butter and a tall glass of milk. |
