BEEF AND MACARONI CASSEROLE 
1 pkg. (8 oz.) elbow macaroni
1 tsp. Tabasco
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 can (lb.) stewed tomatoes
1/8 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. oregano

Cook macaroni as package directs; drain. Meanwhile sprinkle Tabasco and salt over ground beef.

In skillet, saute meat until partly browned; add onion.

In 2 quart casserole, alternate layers of macaroni and meat. Stir chili powder and oregano into stewed tomatoes and pour over top. Heat in a 350 degree oven 15 minutes. If prepared in advance, bake for 30 minutes. 4-6 servings. I prepare this in microwave.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
