MAW MAW'S FRUIT COBBLER 
LIQUID BATTER:

1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder

Blend until smooth.

FILLING:

1 stick butter
1 (30 oz.) can fruit
1 c. sugar

Melt butter in pyrex dish, pour batter over butter. Add sugar to fruit and syrup, then pour into center of batter. Bake at 350 degrees until well browned on top, about 30 minutes. Batter will come to top. Serves 6.
