NORMA'S ORIGINAL VEGETABLE SOUP 
4 stalks celery, sliced
6 carrots, sliced
6 onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 sm. head of cabbage, finely chopped
1 sm. rutabaga, cubed
2 sm. turnips, cubed
1 (#2) can lima beans with juice
1 (#2) can peas with juice
1 (#2) can green beans with juice
1 (#2) can corn with juice
Leaves from celery, chopped or 2-3 tsp. dried celery leaves
1 qt. or more tomatoes
2 tbsp. green pepper, chopped
2 qts. or more turkey broth
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce (optional)
3 pkgs. Butter Buds
1 rounded tsp. parsley
1-2 tsp. Bakon (optional)
5 juniper berries
1/4 tsp. ground bay leaf
1/2 tsp. fennel seed
1/4 tsp. summer savory
1/8 tsp. basil leaves

Place the spices in a tea bag and put into large kettle. Add all other ingredients. Simmer until vegetables are done.

Optional additions: 1 potato, peeled, and chopped; mushrooms (either fresh or canned); clam juice; tomato juice; leftover vegetables; dried beans.
