LEMON FILLING FOR WHITE CAKE 
5 tbsp. cake flour
1 c. sugar
Grated rind of 1 lemon
1/2 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. water
1 egg or 2 egg yolk, slightly beaten

Combine ingredients in order given. Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly until thickened. Cool. Makes enough filling for a nine inch 2 layer cake.
