BUTTER HORNS (BREAD ROLLS) 
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
About 5 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs

Soften yeast in water. Scald milk and sugar and shortening, cool to lukewarm. Add 2 cups flour and beat well. Add softened yeast and eggs. Mix well; add enough flour to make soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured board. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Make into rolls. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
