HOT CRAB SPREAD 
8 oz. lite cream cheese
2 c. non-fat quark or low-fat cottage cheese, blended
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. skim milk
1/2 tsp. each: dried basil, marjoram, oregano and thyme
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 lb. imitation crab flakes

1. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese and quark until smooth. Gradually add lemon juice and milk and blend. Stir in remaining ingredients.

2. Pour into quiche dish or pie pan. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until hot.

3. Serve with crackers and vegetable tray. Makes about 4 cups.

Per tablespoon: 19 calories; .5 grams fat; 68 mg sodium; 8 mg cholesterol. Substitutions: cooked shrimp meat, crab meat.
