PISTACHIO LAYER DESSERT 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. very fine chopped walnuts or pecans
1 c. flour

Cream together and press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool before doing following layers.

LAYER 2:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
1/2 (9 oz.) bowl Cool Whip
2/3 c. powdered sugar

Whip together and spread over crust.

LAYER 3:
2 sm. pkg. instant pistachio pudding
2 1/2 c. milk

Beat and pour over layer 2.

LAYER 4:

Spread rest of Cool Whip over layer 3. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
