GROUND OAT FLOUR 
Place 1 1/4 cups quick oats or old fashioned uncooked in blender or food processor. Blend about 1 minute, stopping blender to stir occasionally. Makes 1 cup.

To add whole grain nutrients to baked goods, substitute ground oat flour for up to 1/3 the amount of all purpose flour. Ground oat flour may be used as a substitute for the same amount of all purpose flour when thickened soups and sauces or when coating fish or chicken before baking or frying.

TIP: To make larger amounts of ground oat flour, repeat above directions to produce amount needed. Ground oat flour can be made ahead and stored in tightly covered container and stored in cool, dry place up to 6 months.
