ROAST EYE OF ROUND | |
2 to 4 lbs. eye roast 1 lg. onion 1 env. "Au Jus" gravy mix 1/4 c. dry vermouth mixed with 1/4 c. water 1 roasting bag Combine gravy mix and vermouth and pour over roast after inserting into roasting bag. Slice onions and place on top of roast. Seal bag and pierce for air vents according to package directions, using shallow 2 inch deep roasting pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Test for doneness before removing from bag. If tender, remove according to directions. Make gravy if desired. |
