CHICKEN-OYSTER CASSEROLE 
6 or 7 lb. hen
Crackers
Lots of butter
2 or 3 pts. oysters
1 can mushrooms (lg.)
1 can cream (Pet milk) lg.
Broth

Boil chicken, cool and cut into bite size pieces. Stack as follows in large (9 x 14 inch) casserole dish.

1. Layer of cracker crumbs (not too fine).

2. Layer of chicken.

3. Layer crackers - lots of butter.

4. Layer fresh or canned mushrooms.

5. Layer crackers and butter.

6. Cover this with oysters and salt and pepper; add butter.

7. Cover with crackers and butter.

After stacking, pour liquid over all using 1/2 cream and 1/2 broth (about 3 cups in all). Fill up to about 1/2 depth of casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves about 10 people.
