SWISS STEAK 
1 to 1 1/2 lb. beef steaks or pork steaks
1 qt. potatoes
1/4 c. oil
3 med. carrots
1 lg. green pepper
1 med. onion
1 qt. tomato juice

Brown meat in electric skillet. Quarter potatoes, cut carrots in 1 inch pieces, cut green pepper in strips, slice onion. Put all vegetables in skillet with browned meat; cover with juice. Cook at 250 degrees until vegetables are tender and juice has thickened. 4 servings.
