1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. whit sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 tbsp. water
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix shortening and sugar until blended. Add egg. Mix well. Add peanut butter and water. Mix well. Add dry ingredients one at a time. Mix well after each. Last add vanilla and mix. Drop on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake 5-8 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 6 dozen.
