OUR GRANDMOTHER'S VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 sm. soup bone
1 lb. stew meat, cut sm.
1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
3 sticks celery, cut fine
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 med. can tomatoes, cut up (with juice)
1/2-1 tsp. sugar

Cook bone, stew meat, water, tomatoes with juice, celery and onion, plus salt and pepper to taste until meat is tender. Add frozen mixed vegetables. Cook about 5 minutes at this point. Add 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup very thin egg noodles, cook another 10-15 minutes. Serve very hot with buttered crackers.
