ORANGE SNOW | |
1 (3 oz.) pkg. Jello orange-pineapple or orange gelatin 1/8 tsp. salt 1 c. boiling water 3/4 c. orange juice 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind 1 egg white Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water in a bowl. Add orange juice and rind. Place bowl of gelatin in larger bowl of ice and water, stir until slightly thickened. Add egg white; whip with rotary beater or electric mixer until fluffy, thick, and about double in volume. Pile lightly in dessert glasses or pour into an 8 inch square pan. Chill until firm, about 3 hours. If pan is used, cut into rectangles before serving. Serve with Birds Eye Quick Thaw Strawberries or sweetened sliced fresh strawberries, if desired. Makes 5 cups or 6 servings. |
