DIANE'S CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 lg. pkg. chocolate chips

Beat butter, eggs, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients; blend well. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in moderate oven at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. They will appear to not be done. Fluffy on top, slightly browned. Will be soft when you first take them out. Makes 8 dozen.
