MARY'S GINGERBREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. sherry
1/2 c. warm milk
3 c. flour
2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. mace
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. warm water
2 tbsp. orange rind, grated
1/4 c. orange juice
1 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cream butter; add sugar and next 4 ingredients; beat. Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture with eggs. Dissolve soda in water. Add it and rind and juice and raisins. Pour in prepared pan. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until firm in the center.
