HOT BACON DRESSING 
4-6 slices bacon
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water (or milk, if desired)

Fry bacon slowly. In other pan add sugar, salt and cornstarch. Mix well. Add water and vinegar; mix together. Add bacon and grease. Cook until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add beaten egg. Serve hot over lettuce.
