SAUSAGE AND BEANS 
1 lb. sausage
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
2 (1 lb.) cans pinto or kidney beans
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1 bay leaf, crumbled
4 or 5 drops hot pepper sauce

In skillet, cook meat, onion, and green peppers until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Stir in beans and tomato sauce, and hot sauce, sugar and bay leaf. Bring to boil. Pour mixture into 2-quart casserole. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
