POUND CAKE #2 
1 lb. good quality butter
1 lb. granulated sugar
1 lb. fresh med. sized eggs, without shells (approx.)
9 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tbsp. vanilla extract
1 lb. all-purpose flour, sifted 3 times with 1 tsp. baking powder

Have all ingredients at room temperature. Cream butter and sugar at high speed in electric mixer 10 minutes or so, until sugar is about 2/3 melted, then slow machine a little and slowly add eggs. Then add vanilla extract. Slow machine more and slowly add the flour mixture. Mix no more than necessary. Put in greased 10" tube pan and bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 1 hour. After 1 hour out of oven, turn cake out of pan. Let cool more and dust with powdered sugar.
