SOUTHERN SPOON BREAD | |
1 c. white cornmeal finely ground 4 c. milk 2 tsp. butter 1 3/4 tsp. salt 4 eggs, beaten Combine milk and cornmeal. Scald and cook in top of a double boiler until mixture is like a thin mush. Add butter and salt. Fold eggs in slowly. Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with butter. |
