GERMAN CHOCOLATE CARAMEL SQUARES 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 can evaporated milk (5 oz.)
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk, stirring constantly. Keep mixture warm over low heat. Mix together cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, melted butter and nuts. Spread 1/2 of dough in 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 6 minutes and remove from oven. Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked layer, drizzle caramel mixture over chocolate chips. Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls over caramel layer and spread evenly. Bake about 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely and cut into bars.
