COUNTRY MEATLOAF | |
2 lbs. ground beef 2 eggs 1 onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 1/2 c. rolled oats 1/2 c. wheat germ 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 c. milk Set oven to 350 degrees. Break up ground beef into mixing bowl. To ground beef, add the rest of the ingredients; mix very well. Add mixture to a loaf pan making sure to press mixture with a wooden spoon to surface is flat. Check pan every 20 minutes to scoop off accumulated fat. Bake at least 1 1/2 hours. Check meatloaf with a toothpick for doneness. Leave meatloaf in oven if needed. Remove meatloaf from pan onto platter. Let set for 5 minutes before serving. |
