“BARBECUE SAUCE” IS IN:

BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 tablespoon butter
1 large sweet onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, chopped
1 1/4 cups tomato sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar or molasses
a small bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Melt butter in a medium saucepan; add onion, garlic, and sauté until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients, and simmer 15-30 minutes or until sauce reaches desired consistency. Discard bay leaf. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Yield: about 1 1/2 cups.
