WALNUT CRESCENTS 
DOUGH:

1/2 lb. salted butter
1/2 lb. cream cheese
2 c. flour

FILLING:

1 lb. walnuts, ground
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla

Bring butter and cream cheese to room temperature; mix together with flour. Roll dough into 9 x 9 inch square, approximately. Chill in refrigerator overnight.

Cut into 4 square pieces. Roll each smaller square one direction only to a piece about 12 inches long. Cut into strips, 2 1/2 inches wide. Cut strips into pieces 2 1/2 inches long.

Put 1/2 teaspoon of filling (mixed from ingredients shown above) into center of pastry piece; roll up, bending roll into a crescent. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

Makes 60 to 80 pieces.
