MEAT LOAF | |
2 lbs. round or ground chuck 2 c. corn flakes 2 onions, chopped 1 bell pepper, chopped 3 celery stalks, chopped 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. dry mustard 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. black pepper 1/2 to 1 c. can condensed milk Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Your freshly washed hands are the best tools for the job. Mix with hands and form a loaf. Bake in a pan that drains for 2 hours. Slice and serve. Dry, grease-free meat loaf for a fancy meat loaf when done. Baste with catsup and honey under the broiler for 5 minutes (1/2 cup catsup mixed with a tablespoon of honey). When topping starts to bubble, remove from oven. Let cool and sliced. |
