CREAMY FRUIT SALAD 
1 pkg. lemon flavored gelatin
3/4 c. syrup from fruit cocktail
1 c. cottage cheese
1 1/3 c. well drained canned fruit cocktail
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. chopped unpeeled apples
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk

Heat syrup from fruit cocktail in a saucepan. Pour hot syrup over fruit gelatin in mixing bowl. Cool. Put other ingredients in large bowl. Pour gelatin over salad. Stir well.

Pour in large shallow pan. Put in refrigerator until firm (2 hours). Cut in squares and serve in a lettuce cup.
