SAVORY POTATO GRATIN 
4 to 5 med. potatoes, peeled and sliced
3 to 4 med. onions, sliced
2 tsp. butter
3 tsp. chopped parsley
1 tsp. salt or substitute
1 tsp. thyme leaves
4 cloves garlic, minced
Dash pepper and nutmeg

Saute onions in butter in large skillet until soft. In a shallow baking dish, arrange in layers of potatoes and onions. Sprinkle with garlic and seasoning in between layers. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Optional 1/2 cup whipping cream over the top of potatoes and onions. Sprinkle with paprika. Increase temperature to 400 degrees. Bake another 10 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender and slightly brown on top. Yield: 278 calories - 9.7 fat - 689 sodium.
