COPENHAGEN CABBAGE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. minced onion 1 (16 oz.) can unseasoned tomato sauce 1/8 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. ground cloves 1/2 tsp. salt 1 med. head cabbage, shredded Brown meat and onion, drain off fat. Add next 4 ingredients. Put half the cabbage in 2-quart casserole, next add half the sauce, add remaining cabbage, then the sauce. Cover, and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. NOTE: Make sure that sauce is not Italian seasoned and do not add any more than stated amount of cinnamon and cloves, at least for your first trial. |
