1 onion, chopped fine
2 tbsp. fat
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
1 c. canned tomatoes
1/2 c. ketchup
3 c. mashed potatoes
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. cooked peas

Cook onion in hot fat until golden brown. Add meat and seasonings. Cook until meat is golden brown. Add peas, tomatoes and ketchup. Mix well. Pour into casserole, combine mashed potatoes and egg; spread over mixture. Bake in moderate oven 20 to 30 minutes.
