STRAWBERRY FIG PRESERVES 
3 c. mashed figs
2 pkgs. (3 oz.) Jello, any flavor
3 c. sugar

Mix figs, sugar and Jello in large pan; bring to boil over medium heat. Continue boiling for 3 minutes. Stir occasionally and pour quickly into jars. Makes 5 or 6 glasses.
