1 pkg. yellow cake mix 2 sm. pkgs. instant vanilla pudding 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple 2 c. strawberries (fresh, frozen or pie filling) 1 (16 oz.) container Cool Whip 1 c. chopped pecans Mix and bake cake mix as directed on package using a 9x13x2 pan. Let cool. Mix pudding as directed, let cool. When cake is cool, cut into 1 inch squares. In a deep bowl (punch bowl works nicely), layer some of the cake, pudding, pineapple with juice, strawberries, then Cool Whip. Continue layering as directed ending with Cool Whip layer. Decorate with strawberries and nuts. (Best made night before serving.) |
