6 med. yams
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. heavy cream
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cook yams, peel and quartered. Place yams in 13"x9"x2" baking dish. Bake in 325 degree oven for 15 minutes in saucepan. Mix remaining ingredients, stirring constantly. Bring to boil and boil 5 minutes, pour over yams. Bake, basting often 15 minutes or more.
