CARAMEL BARS 
1 1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Melt butter, add dry ingredients. Pat 1/2 of mixture in bottom of pan. Spread jar caramel ice cream topping on bars (or melt package caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk). Sprinkle chocolate chips on caramel. Put other 1/2 of crumb mixture on top. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. I use large pan - can use 9x13 pan (they will thicken).
