SPRINGTIME TACO SALAD 
1 to 1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix (I use a 1.5 oz. pkg. mild)
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
4 tomatoes, chopped
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend shredded cheese
1 head of lettuce
Crispy round tortilla chips
8 oz. sour cream
Salsa

Brown hamburger in large skillet over medium heat. Drain grease. Add tomato sauce, water and taco seasoning, mix. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

While meat mixture is simmering, tear lettuce into bite-size pieces and chop tomatoes.

Layer the lettuce, meat mixture, tomatoes and shredded cheese on each individual plate. Arrange tortilla chips (under lettuce) around the edge of the plate. Top with sour cream and salsa, as desired.
