1 cup (2 sticks) butter (unsalted) 4 (1 oz. ea.) sq. of chocolate 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups sugar 4 lg. eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup pecans Melt butter and chocolate in top of double boiler. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Add the chocolate mixture. Beat to blend. Fold in pecans. Pour into 9x13x2-inch buttered baking pan. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. NOTE: If using cocoa, use 3 tablespoons cocoa plus 1 tablespoon shortening. |
