HOME BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. Navy beans
1/4 lb. salt pork, cut in strips
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. molasses
Boiling water

Cover beans with cold water and soak overnight. Drain; cover with boiling water and cook 30 minutes. Drain off the water and add the salt pork. Put in bean pot, having some of the salt pork on top.

Mix the mustard, sugar, salt and molasses together and add to the beans. Add 1/2 cup boiling water. Cover pot and bake at 250 degrees about 6 hours adding more boiling water as necessary to just cover beans during baking. Remove the cover during the last hour.
