JUST RIGHT CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. butter flavored shortening
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips

Beat butter and shortening together until fluffy. Add both sugars and blend well. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Set aside. In separate bowl, mix flour, soda, salt and dry pudding mix. Gradually add dry ingredients to shortening mixture and add chocolate chips. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 14 to 18 minutes. A longer baking time yields a crunchier cookie; a shorter baking time yields a chewier cookie.
