VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 lb. roast beef, cubed and browned
3 to 4 peeled potatoes, partially cooked, then cubed
1 lg. onion, chopped
Parsley, chopped
1 qt. water
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. (each) salt, sugar, Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. pepper
Dash of cloves

After browning meat, add onions, seasonings and water; add 2 to 4 tablespoons flour to make a gravy sauce; then put all together and place in oven for an hour at 300 degrees, or cook in crockpot 4 hours.
