SAUCEPAN FUDGE BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

In saucepan melt butter and chocolate. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Stir in flour. Mix well. Add nuts and stir. Spread batter in a greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. Cool and cut into bars. Makes 8 to 12. (For a 9 x 13 inch pan, just double the recipe.)
