FRUIT CAKE 
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. baking soda in 1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. wine or fruit juice
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. candied fruit
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. walnuts

Sift dry ingredients and add others in order. Bake 2 1/2 hours at 250 degrees.
