POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. white sugar
6 lg. eggs
3 c. plain Red Band flour (do not sift, fluff)
1 c. sweet milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. almond flavoring

Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt once. Add a little flour to mixture and on low speed, mix well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour (important). Add flavorings. Bake in tube or bundt pan greased and floured well. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
